An Overband Magnetic Separator is an overhead magnetic separation system used to remove ferrous metals from bulk materials moving on conveyor belts.
It is commonly installed:
Above conveyor belts
Above vibratory feeders
Above material transfer points
Above inclined conveyors
Inline near conveyor head pulleys
Transversely across conveyor belts
The equipment can be configured for self-cleaning automatic separation, allowing collected ferrous material to be discharged continuously without stopping the main material flow
