Four-stage roller type magnetic separator.
Working Principle
Power Magnetronics make roller type magnetic separator has two rolls of which one does not contain magnets whereas the other has a magnet embedded in the roll. The two rolls are wrapped by belts over which the feeds travel for separation. Upon crossing over the magnetic roll, all the magnetic substances stick to it till they are relieved from the magnetic field. Non-magnetic substances fall freely from the magnetic roll separator whereas those reacting to the magnetic field fall further away. If multiple rolls are installed separation takes place at each level and a purely magnetic output is achieved.
The material to be processed is conveyed to the belt by vibrating feeder at a required flow rate. The feeding rate can be controlled by adjusting the vibration on feeder. A roll separator blade has been set in order to collect separated products in different places and to adjust the product properties in the desired manner.

Product Description
Power Magnetronics make drum type magnetic separators are designed for the continuous extraction of ferrous materials from a product being fed uniformly on to the face of the drum. As the material is fed onto the drum, ferrous materials are extracted and are firmly held to the drum face by the magnetic separator until they move away from the magnets influence and discharge, leaving any non-ferrous materials to free fall. Permanent Drums have a 180-degree stationary magnet system within a revolving cover. The magnet system is constructed using fully stabilized strontium ferrite permanent magnets. The magnets are mounted on to heavy-duty backplates, to optimize the magnetic strength directed at the product stream. This not only enhances the performance of the drum but also reduces the magnetic fields in the shaft and bearings, helping to extend their service life.
Power Magnetronics make Drum type magnetic separators are used in applications where there is a high feed of material to be processed and where there is a need to extract smaller ferrous particles from a given product stream. Drum type magnetic separators are of self-cleaning type and provide continuous removal of ferrous contamination from a wide range of free-flowing bulk and granular materials in high-volume applications. Rare earth drums are capable of extracting fine ferromagnetic and paramagnetic materials, which may not be extracted using a standard Permanent Drum. Rare earth dums are most often fitted into totally enclosed housings described in more detail below. Our magnetic separator range is available in a wide range of sizes to suit customers specific requirements.

Double drum type magnetic separator
Double drum magnetic separator performs with perfection in picking out ferrous from nonferrous substances. Multiple drums are also available to make multiple refinements. The permanent magnet assembled in the drum has a strong magnetic field and catches even the tiniest of the iron particles. Our double drum magnetic separator and its components display the following characteristics:
Powerful magnets.
Simple in design so it can be set up easily.
Low power consumption.
Shafts provided for separation.
It does not occupy much space.
Triple drum type magnetic separator
Triple drum type magnetic separator is an equipment which separates ferrous and nonferrous substance from the feed. The separator drum contains a permanent magnet which is fixed and a rotating drum covering it. When the triple drum magnetic separator is put to work; the iron particles are attracted by the drum and discharged to the next drum where further checking happens and then to the last drum and discharges to separate collection point. The end product derived by triple drum magnetic separator are superior in quality.
Operating Principle
Magnetic drums are constructed with a 180-degree stationary magnet system, around which a cover revolves.Though the drum attracts iron particles, it does not have magnetic properties. The construction goes like this; A semicircular permanent magnet lodged within the drum radiated magnetic field. Half drum area exhibits magnetic field & remaining half does not. When the feeder is introduced with the feed it falls on the drum which is rotating. All ferrous particles will adhere to the drum cover as it revolves and will then be discharged into separate chamber at normal Operation and the rest Non-magnetic materials will free-fall forward following their normal Operation and released to separate chamber.

Product Description
Power Magnetronics make Eddy Current Separator is an advanced material sorting unit that is capable of separating non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and copper from dry recyclables. Eddy Current Separators are designed to generate eddy currents in high-frequency, alternating-frequency magnetic fields, and to automatically separate non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, zinc, etc.) from non-conductive materials. It is widely used in environmental protection industries, like waste classification, waste electrical and electronic equipment recycling, and the treatment of non-ferrous metal industrial materials. The separation efficiency is good for a wide range of non-ferrous metals, which features strong adaptability, and reliable mechanical structure, high efficiency in separation.
Eddy current separator is most suitable for recycling copper, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals from industrial waste and MSW(Municipal Solid Waste). It is designed to tackle and separate non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper. They can effectively be used for most applications that need to eliminate non-ferrous materials from the product flow. Nowadays, it's vastly used in the recycling industries of rubbish, automobiles, electronics, and the material processing of non-ferrous metals, etc. Most applications, the Eddy Current Separator is used in line with other separation equipment to ensure a clean recycled product. It has excellent performance on recycling of many kinds of non-ferrous metals.
Working Principle
Material is fed upon the conveyor belt of the eddy current separator, which moves it across the magnetic rotor where separation happens. The magnetic rotor is surrounded by (but not attached to) a wear shell which supports the conveyor belt. This allows the rotor to spin individually and at a much higher speed than the wear shell and belt. When a piece of nonferrous metal, such as aluminum, passes over the separator, the magnets inside the rotor rotate past the aluminum at high speed. This creates eddy currents in the aluminum which in turn produces a magnetic field around the piece of aluminum. The polarity of that magnetic field is the same as the rotating magnet, making the aluminum to be repelled away from the magnet. This repulsion makes the trajectory of the aluminum greater than that of the non-metallic, allowing the two material streams to be separated.

Magnetic Destoner vs Conventional Destoner
This distinction is important for both customers and SEO.
A conventional gravity destoner primarily separates stones and heavy impurities from grains based on differences in density, aerodynamic behaviour and material movement.
A magnetic destoner, on the other hand, is primarily designed for magnetic separation.
It targets:
Magnetic particles → attracted and separated
Non-magnetic product → follows the normal material flow
Therefore, a magnetic destoner should not be described as a direct replacement for every type of gravity destoner.
Depending on the processing line, both systems can potentially be used as complementary cleaning stages.
How Does a Magnetic Destoner Work?
The working principle of a magnetic destoner is based on magnetic attraction.
1. Product Feeding
The grain, pulse, seed, spice or other material enters the machine through a controlled feeding arrangement.
2. Uniform Material Distribution

5. SHORT PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Power Magnetronics Overband Magnetic Separator
Power Magnetronics Overband Magnetic Separator is a heavy-duty magnetic separation system designed for automatic extraction of ferrous contaminants from material transported on conveyor belts.
The magnetic unit is positioned above the material flow. Ferrous objects are attracted toward the magnetic field and separated from the conveyed material. In the self-cleaning design, a motor-driven rubber belt continuously removes the captured ferrous material from the magnetic zone and discharges it separately.
This makes the Overband Magnetic Separator particularly suitable for continuous industrial operations where tramp iron contamination occurs frequently.
6. WHAT IS AN OVERBAND MAGNETIC SEPARATOR?
An Overband Magnetic Separator is an overhead magnetic separation system used to remove ferrous metals from bulk materials moving on conveyor belts.
It is commonly installed:
Above conveyor belts
Above vibratory feeders
Above material transfer points
Above inclined conveyors
Inline near conveyor head pulleys
Transversely across conveyor belts
The equipment can be configured for self-cleaning automatic separation, allowing collected ferrous material to be discharged continuously without stopping the main material flow.
Shivam Magnetics +1
7. HOW POWER MAGNETRONICS OVERBAND MAGNETIC SEPARATOR WORKS
1. Material Feeding
The contaminated bulk material travels continuously on the conveyor belt.
2. Magnetic Attraction
As the material passes below the magnetic system, ferrous particles and tramp iron are attracted toward the magnetic field.
3. Ferrous Metal Extraction
The magnetic force lifts the attracted ferrous material away from the main product stream.
4. Continuous Transfer
In the self-cleaning model, the separator belt carries the captured iron away from the magnetic zone.
5. Automatic Discharge
Once the ferrous material moves outside the effective magnetic field, it is released and collected separately.
6. Continuous Operation
The main conveyor continues operating while ferrous contamination is continuously removed.
This self-cleaning principle is one of the main differences between an Overband Magnetic Separator and a manually cleaned suspended magnet.
Electro Magnetic Industries +1
8. WHY CHOOSE AN OVERBAND MAGNETIC SEPARATOR?

Magnetic Drum Pulley
Magnetic Drum Pulley Manufacturer in India
Power Magnetronics is a Magnetic Drum Pulley Manufacturer in India, designing and manufacturing permanent magnetic drum pulleys for continuous separation of ferrous and magnetic materials from bulk material conveyed through belt conveyor systems.
A Magnetic Drum Pulley combines the functions of a conveyor head pulley and a magnetic separator. The magnetic pulley is installed at the discharge end of a conveyor, where the magnetic field attracts ferrous particles while the non-magnetic material follows its normal trajectory.
Power Magnetronics Magnetic Drum Pulleys are suitable for mining, mineral processing, recycling, aggregates, coal handling, foundries, fertilizer, cement, ceramics, glass and other bulk-material processing industries.
The magnetic drum pulley can be selected according to conveyor width, belt speed, material burden, throughput, particle size, magnetic contamination and required separation performance.
What Is a Magnetic Drum Pulley?
A Magnetic Drum Pulley is a conveyor pulley incorporating a stationary or application-specific permanent magnetic circuit within a rotating drum.
It is normally installed at the discharge end of a belt conveyor.
As the conveyor belt passes around the magnetic drum pulley:
The bulk material reaches the pulley.
Ferrous particles are attracted toward the magnetic field.
Non-magnetic material follows its normal trajectory.
Magnetic particles remain attracted to the belt/pulley area for longer.
As the belt moves away from the magnetic field, the captured ferrous material is released into a separate trajectory or collection area.
This allows Power Magnetronics Magnetic Drum Pulley systems to perform continuous ferrous separation without requiring a separate overhead magnetic separator in suitable conveyor applications.
Magnetic Drum Pulley Working Principle
The working principle of a magnetic drum pulley is based on magnetic attraction and differential material trajectories.
Material Feeding
Bulk material travels on a conveyor belt toward the magnetic drum pulley.
Magnetic Field
The permanent magnetic circuit creates a magnetic field around the appropriate separation zone.
Ferrous Attraction
Ferromagnetic particles are attracted toward the magnetic field.
Differential Discharge
Non-magnetic material leaves the pulley according to normal conveyor discharge trajectory, while attracted ferrous material follows a different trajectory.
Ferrous Collection
The separated ferrous material can be collected independently.
This continuous process makes a magnetic drum pulley particularly useful where magnetic separation needs to be incorporated directly into a conveyor system.
Permanent Magnetic Drum Pulley
Power Magnetronics Permanent Magnetic Drum Pulleys use permanent magnets to provide continuous magnetic attraction.
The permanent magnetic circuit does not require continuous electrical power to create the magnetic field.
Potential advantages include:
Continuous magnetic field
Low magnetic-system energy requirement
Continuous operation
Compact conveyor integration
Reduced system complexity
Suitable for ferrous separation
Low magnetic-system maintenance
The complete pulley system may still include a conveyor drive, bearings and other mechanical components that require power or maintenance.
Magnetic Drum Pulley for Conveyor Belt
A magnetic drum pulley is particularly useful where the conveyor head pulley can simultaneously perform magnetic separation.
Instead of installing a separate magnetic separator above the conveyor, a suitable magnetic drum pulley can be integrated directly into the conveyor discharge arrangement.
This can be advantageous where:
Conveyor space is limited
Head-pulley replacement is practical
Continuous ferrous separation is required
Material is already travelling toward the conveyor discharge
A compact magnetic separation arrangement is preferred
Power Magnetronics can evaluate the conveyor configuration and recommend an appropriate magnetic drum pulley design.
Magnetic Drum Pulley for Ferrous Metal Separation
The primary target of a magnetic drum pulley is ferromagnetic contamination.
Typical contaminants include:
Iron pieces
Steel fragments
Bolts
Nuts
Screws
Wire
Ferrous machine components
Tramp iron
Magnetic metallic particles
Separation performance depends on:
Magnetic properties of the contaminant
Particle size
Particle shape
Belt speed
Material burden
Magnetic field
Working distance
Material trajectory
Therefore, Power Magnetronics recommends application-based selection rather than selecting a drum pulley only by its nominal magnetic intensity.
Magnetic Drum Pulley for Tramp Iron Removal
Tramp iron can enter bulk material during mining, crushing, conveying, recycling and industrial processing.
A Power Magnetronics Magnetic Drum Pulley can be used to remove suitable ferrous tramp material at the conveyor discharge.
Potential sources include:
Broken machinery components

A magnetic drum pulley can be used for ferrous separation in suitable mineral-handling applications.
Technical Application
Power Magnetronics Magnetic Drum Pulley can be installed at a conveyor discharge point to separate ferrous contaminants from mineral material. The magnetic field attracts ferromagnetic particles while non-magnetic material continues along its normal discharge trajectory.
Typical considerations include:
High conveyor throughput
Large material size
Belt speed
Material burden depth
Tramp iron size
Required magnetic separation
Pulley diameter and belt width
Magnetic Drum Pulley for Mineral Processing
Mineral-processing plants use crushers, screens, conveyors and other equipment that can introduce ferrous contamination into the material stream.
Power Magnetronics Magnetic Drum Pulley can provide magnetic separation at an appropriate conveyor stage.
Applications
Iron ore processing
Manganese processing
Bauxite handling
Limestone processing
Quartz processing
Silica sand
Industrial minerals
Aggregates
Technical Description
At the conveyor discharge, the magnetic pulley creates a controlled magnetic field that attracts ferrous particles. Non-magnetic mineral material follows the normal discharge trajectory, enabling continuous separation.
Magnetic Drum Pulley for Iron Ore Processing
Iron ore is naturally magnetic to varying degrees depending on mineralogy and processing conditions.
Therefore, Power Magnetronics does not recommend treating a magnetic drum pulley as a universal iron-ore separator without evaluating the actual ore characteristics.
For applications involving recovery or concentration of magnetic minerals, the required magnetic circuit, field strength, gradient, drum speed and material burden must be evaluated.
For tramp-iron removal from an ore stream, the application is different and generally simpler.
This distinction should be maintained on the website to avoid technically incorrect SEO claims.
Magnetic Drum Pulley for Coal Handling
Coal-processing and coal-handling plants can contain ferrous contamination originating from mining and material-handling equipment.
Power Magnetronics Magnetic Drum Pulley can be used at suitable conveyor discharge points for ferrous-metal separation.
Technical Application
The magnetic field attracts suitable ferrous particles as the coal stream passes around the pulley. Non-magnetic coal continues along its normal trajectory.
Potential objectives include:
Tramp iron removal
Downstream equipment protection
Ferrous recovery
Improved material cleanliness
Magnetic Drum Pulley for Cement Industry
Cement plants handle limestone, coal, clinker, gypsum and other bulk materials.
Ferrous contaminants can potentially enter the material stream during quarrying, crushing, conveying and processing.

Product Description
Power Magnetronics make Magnetic rod/ Magnetic tube is constructed by strong permanent magnet with a stainless steel shell. Magnetic rod is used for removing ferrous contaminants from free-flowing material. All the ferrous particles like bolts, nuts, chips, damaging tramp iron can be caught and held effectively. Round or square shape rods are available for customers' requirements for special applications. Magnetic rod provides a good solution for material purity and equipment protection. Magnetic Rod is the basic element of the grate magnet, magnetic drawer, magnetic liquid traps, and magnetic rotary separator.
Product Description
Power Magnetronics make Drawer Magnet is excellent equipment and product protection equipment for medium and fine ferrous contaminants in dry, free-flowing products under gravity flow. Multiple rows provide maximum contact area for product flow. As product flows in stainless steel housing, it cascades over the staggered rows of magnetic rods. Ferrous contaminants are pulled to the surface of the magnets where they move to the underside of the tube to prevent any wash-off. Drawer magnets should be cleaned periodically for the most efficient performance. To clean the magnetic tubes, release the lock assembly and open the door. Remove the grate assemblies one at a time. Remove the tramp metal by hand. Use extreme caution and wear gloves during the process.
Drawer type permanent magnets are used for the separation of iron particles from dry, granular or free-flowing products or materials. Drawer magnets are made by using stainless steel having (Round or square or rectangular) with magnetic rods mounted on a drawer. All the components are made up of Stainless Steel 304/316 material. The overall construction of the drawer magnet can also be made as per the customer specification and sizes.

Product Description
Power Magnetronics make Magnetic Hopper or Hopper Magnet protects processing machinery against ferrous impurities. Magnetic rods fixed onto a stainless steel frameworks, when anything containing iron substances passes through the framework, Iron particles are attracted to the bar magnets by magnetic fields. As a result, your equipments and facilities will be safe and sound, and your products will be safe for consumption. All magnetic rods are manufactured with the use of powerful magnets, which can extract even fine ferrous particles in the form of dust. Power Magnetronics make hopper magnets constructed in three variants namely:
Low power hopper magnet (2,500 Gauss)
Medium power hopper magnet (6,000 Gauss)
High power hopper magnet (10,000-11,000 Gauss)
We at Power Magnetronics do extreme effort in manufacturing the most robust hopper magnet. The surface of frame and magnetic bar can be fine polished and fully welded to meet food grade or pharmacy application. Our hopper magnet is extremely efficient at removing ferrous contaminants from the flow of dry goods such as sugar, grain, tea, plastic pellets, and chemicals powders, which placed in pipeline systems, hoppers, chutes, etc., to separate ferrous particles from materials flowing past the grid, and provide effective protection against contaminants such as dust particles and stainless steel resulting from mechanical wear of processing machinery. It protects different types of machines and other processing equipment from damage, but effectively securing it through passing foreign ferrous particles entering it.
We have achieved great success in developing hopper magnets or grate magnets in accordance with the industry and application area. We manufacture hopper magnets in different shapes like round, square, and rectangle as per our customer’s requirement. We can design these magnets to fit in any positions that our customers want to place it.

Product Description
Power Magnetronics make plate magnets are an inexpensive form of magnetic protection against occasional tramp iron contamination. Plate magnets can be used in a wide range of industries and are commonly installed within a chute or over a conveyor. Plate magnet is constructed from stainless steel, which utilizes projected magnetic stainless steel poles for an enhanced field intensity. Stainless steel pole areas maximize the holding power of the magnets. Plate Magnets are designed to divert the product stream away from the magnet surface while allowing tramp metal to be magnetically attracted to the magnet’s surface behind the collection steps. Plate Magnets are easily installed and are supplied complete with sanitary hinges, latches, and mounting hardware. The hinged mounting design permits quick, easy cleaning of the magnet surface.
Plate Magnets can be manufactured with either a strontium ferrite or a high-intensity rare earth magnet system. The more powerful rare earth solution is advised for removing much finer iron particles from powders and foodstuffs. They are available in both flat and curved shapes and could be installed either above or along the passage of materials flow.
To extract metal from deeper burdens and increased throughput rates we can also provide a dual deep field separator. They are provided with clamps and could be located on the conveyor of carrying such materials ideally they are located 30 mm above the layer of material flow. All plate magnets are virtually maintenance-free, offering a long service life not affected by wet conditions.
Plate magnets are used for separation of tramp iron found in Tea, Tobacco, Coffee, Cocoa, Milk Powder, and Chemicals, etc. They are extensively used in CTC Tea machinery and in Biscuit stacking machines. They are available in various sizes as per the requirement.
